blue heaven

Wide view of the world

Piet has always been an artist with a broad view of the world, working among people and businesses, not from isolation.

With this work, Pete told our story: an entrepreneur who changed hands and started the next phase of his life.

The work also contains all the aspects that Piet wants to incorporate in his artworks.

  • The emotional line of the employees who wrote a wish on the cups for their boss.
  • The farewell, the end of an era by dropping the cups into the vase and breaking them.
  • But also the anchoring by giving the vase a prominent place in the company afterwards.
  • To complete the circle, each employee was given a set of cups to take home as a lasting memento of the ritual farewell to their boss.

For me, this is art in its purest role: as a carrier of messages with a soul.
